About
What is 8os?
Everyone sells moving money. We sell proving who moved it, under which rule, with which receipt — without ever holding your funds.
8os is B2B payment infrastructure for the US–Mexico corridor. Your business collects dollars from US clients and receives pesos in Mexico over SPEI, with the exchange reference, execution cost, and 8os fee disclosed separately on every collection.
On top of that payment infrastructure, 8os is building a control plane: each payment can be authorized under an Org→User→Agent identity hierarchy, checked against your policies before the money moves, recorded in a tamper-evident audit trail, and paired with the CFDI and payment complement. The goal is for your finance team to approve the flow instead of reconstructing it after the fact.
We are non-custodial by design. Your funds never touch an 8os account: we issue instructions to regulated payment infrastructure, we don’t take deposits. That’s an architecture decision, not a slogan Built in Guadalajara, for the corridor we live in.
8os was founded by Braulio Hernández (Co-founder & CEO).

Frequently asked questions
- What is 8os?
- 8os is a non-custodial B2B payment infrastructure company for the US–Mexico corridor. Mexican companies billing US clients receive dollars, are paid out in MXN over SPEI, and close the Mexican tax loop with CFDI and the payment complement stamped through SAT-authorized PAC partners. Funds remain in accounts in the client's name at licensed institutions. 8os is pre-revenue, onboarding its first design partners, and is headquartered in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico.
- Is 8os a bank?
- No. 8os is not a bank and never takes custody of client funds. Money is held in accounts in the client's own name at licensed financial institutions; 8os provides the API, orchestration, compliance workflow, and audit trail.
- Where is 8os based?
- 8os is headquartered in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico, and serves the US–Mexico corridor.
- How is 8os different from a payment platform?
- Most platforms take custody of your funds and move money on your behalf. 8os is non-custodial infrastructure: funds stay in accounts in your name at licensed institutions while 8os orchestrates currency exchange, SPEI payout, CFDI, the payment complement, and the audit trail through one API.
- Is 8os related to 8os.io (EightOS) or OS/8?
- No. 8os (8osapi.com) is an independent payments-infrastructure company. It is not affiliated with EightOS (8os.io), a movement and organization practice, nor with OS/8, the 1970s Digital Equipment Corporation operating system.
